ThumbSnag is a free tool that retrieves and displays publicly available thumbnail images for YouTube and Vimeo videos, based on a video URL you provide, and lets you download those images.

Acceptable Use

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
  • Do not use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to overload or abuse the Service.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.

Intellectual Property & Thumbnail Ownership

Thumbnails downloaded through ThumbSnag remain the property of their respective video creators and/or platforms (YouTube, Google, Vimeo). ThumbSnag does not claim ownership of any thumbnail image. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any downloaded image complies with applicable copyright law and the originating platform's terms. Downloaded thumbnails are provided for personal use, reference, research, or commentary; commercial reuse of a third party's copyrighted artwork without permission may infringe that party's rights.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every thumbnail resolution will be available for every video.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThumbSnag and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Third-Party Platforms

ThumbSnag is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, or Vimeo. Use of thumbnails retrieved through those platforms is also subject to the respective platform's own terms of service.

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
